About Cultivate

Cultivate is a Bronx-based nonprofit dedicated to uplifting communities through transformative events and experiences that foster personal growth, connection, and empowerment. Our flagship program is a 6-week fellowship designed to equip young women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive.

By bringing together expert facilitators, community partners, and peer support, we create a space where young women can explore their potential, build meaningful relationships, and take action toward their goals.

Over 6 weeks, fellows explore six interconnected focus areas designed to build confidence and resilience.

Financial Literacy

Build foundational money management skills, understand budgeting, saving, and investing for your future.

Wellness

Explore physical, mental, and emotional health practices that support your wellbeing and resilience.

Family Dynamics

Navigate family relationships with tools for healthy communication and boundary-setting.

Emotional Health

Develop emotional awareness and coping strategies to manage stress and build inner strength.

AI Literacy

Understand AI in everyday life, career opportunities in tech, and critical thinking in the digital age.

Career Readiness

Prepare for professional success with resume writing, interview skills, networking, and career exploration.

Cultivate's inaugural fellowship cohort is in partnership with Salud Mía, a trusted community health organization serving the Bronx.

Salud Mía Partnership

Salud Mía is a community-based organization dedicated to providing culturally relevant, accessible health information that supports the wellbeing of Bronx residents. Their team brings expertise in community health, health equity, and culturally responsive programming.

In this partnership, Salud Mía fellows receive specialized training in trauma-informed engagement, vaccine hesitancy support, civic engagement, community health advocacy, and conflict de-escalation. Fellows will earn a certificate from the NYC Health Department and gain hands-on experience combatting health misinformation in their communities.

Participant Support
